java jazz festival 2011

So here's a few of my take from the festival last weekend.

Managed to catch up: David Garfield, who really looks like the combination of The Dude and Walter Sobchak on The Big Lebowski, featuring the fun Abraham Laboriel. Ruben Hein, the "handsome vocalist" (according to the java magazine). Roy Hargrove Quintet, which was the most photogenic performance of all. Corinne Bailey Rae, which was so pretty, much prettier then when she first came to surface around 2006-2007, with the effortless beautiful voice and peaceful face and gesture which were so soothing to watch. She's just so loveable. And we did catch a glimpse of other performances like the New York Voices and some local bands.

Didn't take that many pictures though, first I was too lazy to move my ass in front of the stage, second I don't have any tele lens to be able to shoot a close up, third I always keep in mind whenever I go to a musical event I was there to enjoy the performances, taking pictures is just the documentation part and not the main thing.

Thanks for taking me there, you.
