These are screenshots from nine of eleven short stories in the movie Coffee and Cigarettes. I post this because I like the concept of coffee and cigarettes as a common thread of different conversations that form the movie. I enjoyed some segments like Renée (a pretty girl smoking and drinking coffee while flipping through a gun magazine) and Cousins (the always awesome Cate Blanchett playing two different characters that were opposite to each other), but I have to say that I didn't really enjoy the overall movie. But still, the idea wins, and it makes me wanna drag someone out for coffee and cigarettes and a nice conversation about nothing and everything.
ps. the movie is made over a 17-year period. Strange to Meet You was shot in 1987, while Somewhere in California was shot in 1992.
ps2. Another reason that made me watch this movie was the cast lineup: Roberto Benigni, Cate Blanchett, Bill Murray, Steve Buscemi, Tom Waits, Alfred Molina, Jack and Meg White, and some others.
