(sometimes) i don't cheer existence

I don't really care about the whole package of the movie which is too depressing, and I never fond of the director. To be honest, only two reasons made me watch this, Charlotte Gainsbourg and the movie title, Melancholia, too provocative.

So a blue planet, called Melancholia, is about to collide with the earth. A bit different from the usual heroic-style hollywood apocalyptic movies, this one emphasized more on the psychological issue, how different types of people react to it. Funny though, but true somehow, how "depressed" people tend to act more calmly. While the usual "happy type" people start to get frustrated. It makes me think of, well, not apocalypse, tho sometimes I hope it came sooner, but of death. And I sometimes wonder why some people are so afraid of it. If heaven happens to be real, wouldn't it be so great? What less could one lost by dying young? The older you get the more responsibility you have, the more pressure and pain to bear, no?

I always keep C.S. Lewis' quote in mind, "If I find in myself desires nothing in this world can satisfy, I can only conclude that I was not made for here."

ps. i'm so sleepy while writing this, so...
