venezia, veneto.

I might failed to enjoy Firenze, but among all (major) cities i've been in Italy, Venezia is probably the one I do not wish to come back to (except for the Biennale which has the whole different story). Well the city was beautiful, it was as what we saw in the photos and other media. But still to me it kinda lacked something. It has no spirit of the place.

Venezia was touristy, obviously, but it was like VERY touristy. When I saw the old buildings what came to my thoughts was how amazing it must be back then when people really had their activities there, like in the medieval era. I imagined stories in my head. BUT the reality today is that the city is overcrowded with commercialism. Every place is either souvenir shop or restaurant. It's almost impossible to really sense the place as how it supposed to be.

Almost three months since I was in Venezia but I still have the sunburn because of the crazy heat left on my feet until this day.
