i have to say that the bay was touristically overrated. the place wasn't as spectacular as i expected, the cruise was rather dull, the cave tour was full of unnecessary gimmick, and the beach was a joke. nevertheless overall it was okay. at night it got so serene it felt quite therapeutic floating on the sea laying on the deck with nothing around you, just rocks and the light from other boats far away and some stars above.
the next morning i sat at the rear part of the boat with one of my shipmates from london. soaking up the morning chill with our feet hanging from the boat above the water we could even spot some jellyfish. we talked about places around the world from india to canada, from asia to europe, from culture and society to our personal day job. the kind of random conversation with stranger coming from another part of the world. i'll always remember his reaction when i offered him my clove cigarette and he, having never tasted one, said in his british accent "oh this is so weird, it crackles!!". that for me was fun, seeing someone's reaction to something new you got to introduced them to. and it made me realized that it does crackle. sometimes we get so used to something on daily life we forget to appreciate the little details that were once mattered.
