Empire of Light has my favorite opening sequence of a film.
Director: Sam Mendes; cinematography: Roger Deakins; production design: Mark Tildesley; music: Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
And then after that every single scene of the film was shot so beautifully like they each are perfect photographs. It makes me sad thinking we might not have many other films shot by the Roger Deakins.
