Last Wednesday is so exciting cos I went to this Russian Cultural Days festival. I didn't expect to see so many different things being performed there. There are traditional dances, modern dances, ballet dance, classical string quartets musicians, accordeon player, singers, acrobatic player, and even illutionist. There's this quick (clothes) change artist, like the one you saw on America's Got Talent. Well, not as spectacular as that one, but at least I've seen something like that with my own eyes.
Only one thing bothered me much. I was sitting at the balcony so I could see lots of lights down there among the audiences. It's the cellphones, cameras, and it could be any kind of the newest technologies. And of course, the sounds of that SLR cameras who kept clicking like crazy during a quite ballet dance show. Same thing happened on the Flamenco dance show that day. I don't know why these selfish people couldn't just let the artist performing have their time being appreciated well by the audience. I don't know why these people couldn't just let the audience enjoy the artist performing. They're not there to enjoy the show but to enjoy themselves taking pictures to give their own selves satisfaction. Blame the technologies, blame the show management, but this is just pathetic. This is not how you appreciate art.
