Karsu Dönmez - Play My String
Similar to Nynke Laverman, this show also featuring a Dutch songbird and a local band with female lead singer as the opening act. Karsu Dönmez is a Dutch of Turkish descent possessing an incredibly strong voice that can go also very soft. It was one of those wonderful performance which I enjoyed from the beginning hoping it wouldn't end so soon. As a twenty two years old girl, she has this bubbly personality, she interacted with the audience in a very casual funny way making the show even more enjoyable. The only regret was that I didn't bring my camera, she looked wonderful wearing a fascinator on her hair. I bought the CD although as always with jazz music it's always a different sensation hearing the record and hearing it live.
