Eefje De Coninck, a Belgian photographer of my age, creates a series showcasing the living spaces of female artists. Well there might be a lot out there projects showcase the same thing, like The Selby or Freunde von Freunden, which I also love. But what makes this one different maybe because of its less-glamourous and down to earth nature and the way the photographs capture the melancholy of the place. And also, it focuses on single female artists, which screams a lot about independency.
I aaalways root for big windows. I work and feel better in a room showered with morning natural light. First thing I do arriving on my desk at the office is always to roll up the curtain allowing the light to brighten up the mood before brewing my cup of tea.
I can rant a long complain about how poor the housing system here in my current city, specially the dwelling system for single young workers, but let's just keep this post be a positive one and I'll save the latter for another time.
ps. i wonder if this is the ideal definition of dwelling
