i don't usually do this kind of year-end reflective cliché thing because for me it's always just as any other day goes by. but these days i've been thinking about the bigger picture. going back ten years,
2004-2008 i spent my college life. it was a bittersweet time obviously. the period in which for the first time in my life i felt like i belong somewhere. it was the time i dig in for identity.
2008-2009 was the first years fresh out of college, trying to figure out the shit real life gives. though actually life has given me shits long before that.
2010-2011 was one of the highlighted years. one of the most depressing years but was liberating at the same time. was deeply broken but at the same time met the guy who i'd never forget and the people that become dear to the heart.
2012 was the creative year. found myself in my works, inside and outside the office. enjoying the freedom of once again being my whole self. doing things i wouldn't have done before.
2013 i spent one third of it in europe. pretty much sums it all.
2014 i have to say was one hell of a ride. i actually tried to put month by month in all 12 photos to picture how my year goes by but then somehow i felt like this one i posted here resembles more about how my year goes. it was wild, it was crazy, it was fun, it was liberating, it was dark and gloomy at times. a year of too many dramas. met too many new people, the good and the bad. and still another year that proofs that life is not black and white.
quoting le tonnelier de breteuil, "ogni età ha la felicità che le è propria". i am now twenty eight but i no longer wish that i were younger. although i will be forever struggling with who i am and where i came from, i'm glad for where i stand right now and i have accepted the fact that i might not find the peace i needed and that it's okay. i met some of my childhood friends couple of days ago and we laughed our ass off about what an a//hole we've all become but we couldn't be more proud.
2015 will be a totally new adventure and i am absolutely sure that by the end of next year i would be yet another different person that i am now.
