it took us some time to finally decide which lake to go cause there are several lakes in west sumatra, depending on the pictures we found on the internet and the route needed to take on our way to the airport. after the (local!) driver took us through the wrong route to the lake we initially planned to visit, we went to this one. which turned out to be not disappointing. from the point of vista from the hills above we drove down to the lake to have lunch. the food itself was not good considering some of the better one we had on the region but the experience and the view worth all the journey driving down. made a nice closing to the short trip to the region. definitely need to visit other islands that is not java in this country.
