vienna, wien.

vienna was my first snow experience after the not-so-snowy snow in madrid earlier of the year. and again, i don't really have any fondness toward this city tho i have to say that vienna was wonderful. we spent the new year's eve here, choosing the wrong place between two public celebration venues there in the city. we went to the one on the city hall which turned out to be less dramatic than the celebration in the prater (amusement park).

highlight of vienna was of course the before sunrise pilgrimage. first was the kleines café (5th photo), where they had dinner and met the gypsy who read their palms. too bad since it was winter the outdoor seating were non-existent. and the café was super tiny it's impossible to find a seat that evening. then there was the prater, of course. and we also went to café sperl, where they had this fake phone conversation (not pictured here).
